Risk rules
Respect these limits to avoid disqualification
Daily Drawdown
Maximum daily loss calculated STATICALLY on initial capital. Floating (open positions) is NOT taken into account, only closed balance matters.
For $10,000 in medium (2%), your max daily drawdown is ALWAYS $200 regardless of your current balance. If your balance is at $12,000, the limit stays -$200 of initial capital.
Max Drawdown
Maximum total loss calculated statically on initial capital. Your capital must never fall below this threshold.
For $10,000, capital must never fall below its Max DD limit (6%, 8% or 10%) defined by the chosen level.
Risk management
Max SL per trade: 2% of capital. No excessive leverage (>1:100).
No martingale or grid trading strategy allowed
Daily Drawdown calculation
- Daily Drawdown : Calculated STATICALLY on initial capital - The limit stays fixed regardless of current balance
- Floating not included : Only closed balance (closed trades) is taken into account, not open positions
- Max Drawdown : Also static on initial capital
💡 Example: On a $10,000 account in medium (2% daily DD), your limit is ALWAYS -$200/day. Even if your balance is at $15,000, the limit stays -$200 based on the initial $10,000.
Specific trading rules
Specific conditions to respect
Holding positions over the weekend
Holding open positions during the weekend is allowed (EXCEPT Instant Funded).
- You can maintain active positions after market close (Friday evening) for classic challenges
- ⚠️ For Instant Funded, holding positions over the weekend is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
- Positions can remain open until reopening (Sunday evening/Monday morning)
- ⚠️ Opening new positions during the weekend is strictly forbidden
- Exception: If a TP or SL is triggered during the weekend, this remains allowed
- You remain responsible for risk related to price gaps at reopening
Trading during economic announcements
Trading during news is allowed without restriction.
- Open, manage and close positions before, during or after economic releases
- No time or volatility restrictions imposed
- Concerns major releases: NFP, CPI, rate decisions, FOMC, etc.
- Trader must manage risk appropriately during these volatile periods
Consistency rule: 5 days at +0.25% and 35% cap
Validate 5 days with profit ≥ +0.25% of initial capital, and don't exceed 35% of target in a single day.
- ✅ 5 days at +0.25% minimum (non-consecutive): You must have at least 5 days where your daily profit exceeds +0.25% of initial capital
- 📊 One day = one day: Even if you make +20% in one day, it's still only 1 validated day (not 10 days!)
- ⚠️ 35% daily cap: If your daily profit exceeds 35% of total target, the excess is added to the objective
- 🎯 Strict threshold: +0.24% does NOT count as validated. Threshold is ≥ +0.25%
- 🔄 Losing days don't break the streak: It's a count, not a consecutive series
Practical example - $100,000 account
Initial target: $10,000 (10%) | Daily cap: $3,500 (35% of target)
Répartition des profits :
📈 Trader keeps ALL gains (no profit penalty)
⚠️ But exceeding cap INCREASES total target to reach
✅ Days validated for consistency: only those under 35% cap
💡 For funded account payout: 5 days at +0.25% minimum of initial capital (non-consecutive). Example for $10,000: 5 days with at least +$25 profit each.

Strategy evaluation
Trading strategy compliance criteria
Strategy coherence evaluation
ArcheQuant reserves the right to evaluate the coherence of strategies with regard to their market exposure, position holding duration, and overall PnL structure, in order to ensure their transposability to a real trading environment.
- Strategies generating a disproportionate share of their gains through movements below implicit market costs (spread, commissions, latency) may be considered non-compliant.
- A strategy must present an average holding duration consistent with effective market exposure and an identifiable trading framework.
- ArcheQuant may request explanations about trading logic in case of doubt.
Success conditions
The challenge is considered successful if:
- The profit target is reached (adjusted if 35% cap exceeded)
- No risk rule has been violated
- Minimum 5 active trading days per phase is respected
- 5 days validated at +0.25% minimum (consistency rule)
Disqualification
A participant is immediately disqualified if:
- A risk rule is violated
- Opening positions during the weekend
- Suspicious activity (hidden EA, copy trading, bug abuse) is detected
- Non-compliance with consistency rule (5 days at +0.25% required)
- Fraudulent or disrespectful behavior is reported
- Inactivity for more than 30 days (no position opened for 30 consecutive days)

📅 Consistency rule for payout
To request a payout on a funded account (Phase 3), you must validate:
- 5 days at +0.25% minimum of initial capital (non-consecutive)
- Example for $10,000: 5 days with at least +$25
- One day = one validated day, even if +20% in a single day
💡 This rule ensures regular and consistent trading activity. Losing days don't break the count!
⏱️ Frequency and deadlines
- Bi-weekly payout - Every 15 days
- Processing within 24h after validation
- Minimum amount : $100 per request
📊 Progressive payout caps
To ensure healthy capital management, initial payouts are capped according to account size. These limits progressively disappear.

Road to the Summit
Progression program to the summit
🏔️ Climb from 10K to 250K
A unique journey with refund at each step
🎯 The concept
Road to the Summit is a unique progression program where you start with a $10,000 account and climb up to $250,000. Unlike classic challenges, you only have ONE objective per step: +5% profit. At each validated step, you get back the registration fees as a fixed payout, then you pay the next step's fees to continue climbing.
🔄 How it works
Buy level 1 (10K) for $50
You receive a $10,000 demo account
Reach +5% profit
Trade for at least 3 days while respecting rules (5% max DD, 2% daily DD)
Objective reached → $50 payout
You get back the fees of the validated level
Pay the next level fees ($100 for 25K)
You receive a new account with the next level capital
Repeat until summit (250K) 🏆
At the summit, you switch to normal payout mode with 90/10 split
📋 Same rules at each step
